© The Dogs Network is the first online information hub for dog owners in Egypt and the Middle East. We provide educational information, which is vet and behaviourist approved, on dog training, grooming, health and nutrition, in addition to a directory of services in different areas of Egypt. We operate in Cairo, Egypt only.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
You actively send information to us when you sign up as a member on the website, participate in surveys or promotions, post opinions on our forums, book a service, respond to us or otherwise contact us. Depending on your choices, you may send us personally identifiable information such as your email address, name, phone number, birthday, gender, password, and dog’s information. But, you can also use certain features of our site without telling us your name and if you do not tell us who you are, we do not try to find out.
We are committed to protecting your privacy. Authorized employees within © The Dogs Network, and/or third party pet service providers (e.g. training/boarding facilities, vets, etc.) on a need to know basis only use any information collected from individual customers. We constantly review our systems and data to ensure the best possible service to our customers. Contact information for booking purposes will only require your phone number and general information about your dog. This is needed by pet service providers to be able to contact you and follow up on your booking. Our booking forms do not require any payment information, no credit cards, paypal or bank account information is required. Payments are collected by the service providers at the facility in cash.
Cookies and Web Beacons
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
Newsletters and Email Campaigns
Upon subscribing to our newsletter or receiving email campaigns from us, your registration data is synced with a third party service (Mail Chimp), for you to receive those newsletters. You can opt-out at any point in time by unsubscribing, or we can remove you from the mailing list upon request.
This website uses Google Analytics and JetPack, which mainly track information about how you use our site, through cookies and usage data.
To deliver this functionality and record activities around site management, the following information is captured: user email address, user role, user login, user display name, site and local user IDs, the activity to be recorded, the connected site ID of the site on which the activity takes place, the site’s Jetpack version, and the timestamp of the activity. Some activities may also include the actor’s IP address (login attempts, for example) and user agent.
Activity Tracked: Login attempts/actions, post and page update and publish actions, comment/pingback submission and management actions, plugin and theme management actions, widget updates, user management actions, and the modification of other various site settings and options.
Who we share your data with
We will not sell, share, or rent your contact information to any third party or use your e-mail address for unsolicited mail. Any emails sent by this Company will only be in connection with the provision of agreed services and products.

How long we retain your data
For users who register on our website, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
For users who use the online booking feature with dog training, boarding or vet services, the information you provide remains in our booking management system and is accessible by our website administrators, as well as the booking managers on the pet service provider team. A copy of the info you provided for booking is emailed to you upon submitting your booking request.
Your registered data remains in our database indefinitely. However, you can request to have your data deleted at any point in time by contacting us at this email: firstname.lastname@example.org
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where we send your data
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service. Also upon your subsciption to newsletters, your data is sent to a third party service for email campaigns (Mail Chimp).
